Noise, life, culture, conflict, change – Moritzplatz is a symbol for a lot of things. For us, above all, it‘s this: material for movies! Be part of our crew and shoot with us a series about your life in the north of the city!
The project „Magdeburg Moritzplatz“, realised by Offener Kanal, is your chance to develop a script based upon your experiences and everyday life, to be creative in front and behind the camera and to learn everything about film production.

Sounds interesting? Join us! We are searching for creative people living in the north of Magdeburg, aged between 15 and 27, who have stories to tell and are into acting and film production. Previous experiences are not required, only enough motivation to be present until the premiere of the first season in July 2020. Participation is free of charge.
We offer you:

Who is behind the project?
„Magdeburg Moritzplatz“ is a project of Offener Kanal Magdeburg. It is supervised by Susann Frömmer and Patrick Jannack who have long-time experiences in the field of media education and film production. The project is realised in close collaboration with other cultural and educational initiatives that are operating in Neustadt. Our goal is to make the life in the district more attractive by organising cultural an artistic events. The project is supported and financed by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth and by Fonds Soziokultur.
